Please join us this Friday, June 8th, at 6pm at the Firefly Coffeehouse to discuss the Dane County SIM (Sequential Intercept Model) Report, which outlines where and how people with mental illness and co-occurring disorders interact with the criminal justice system currently and what can be done to improve the outcomes for them.
Our guest speaker will be Paul Saeman, member of MOSES (Madison Organizing in Strength, Equality, and Solidarity) and contributor to the report. Paul has 37 years of experience working in or for government agencies in Wisconsin, New Jersey, the City of New York, Israel, and Denmark, with programs that serve low-income people and enact criminal justice reform. He’s going to help us understand the report and tell us what we can do to make the report recommendations a reality.
