More than 4,500 people are currently incarcerated in Wisconsin prisons for a revocation without a new conviction. Each year, thousands of others are held temporarily in county jails or the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility (MSDF) while their agents investigate alleged rule violations. Wisconsin could literally close MSDF and other prisons by transforming its unjust revocation process. […]
This meeting will include consideration of a resolution to ask the state to increase TAD funding. MOSES members, in collaboration with WISDOM, proposed this resolution and will testify in support of its passage.
County officials discuss a wide range of health and human needs issues, which may include issues of mental health services as they pertain to alternatives to incarceration. Meeting agendas are regularly monitored for pertinent issues and attended by members of MOSES Crisis Restoration Center Focus Group, which is part of the MOSES Justice Reform Initiative. […]
County officials discuss matters of concern to improve the handling of individuals charged with a crime from initial contact through final release and followup. This meeting is regularly attended by members of MOSES Diversions Focus Group, which is part of the MOSES Justice Reform Initiative.
