2014 – Sheriff proposes new Jail
- Mead and Hunt propose building an entirely new jail
  - County Board rejects $160M cost
2015 – Resolution 556 Adopted
- MOSES plays a large role in proposing language for the resolution
- 2015 – Resolution 556 sets up three workgroups. MOSES members are appointed to all of the workgroups
  - Alternatives to Incarceration
  - Length of Stay
  - Mental Health and Solitary
2016 – Diversions Workgroup Expands Scope of Resolution 556
- MOSES member appointed to workgroup
2016 – As part of Resolution 556 Mead and Hunt are hired to do another study
- 2016 May – First report
  - Recommends abandoning the “old” jail on the 6th and 7th floors of the City County Building
- 2016 Sept – Second Report
  - Recommends Spending < $4M for stopgap repairs
  - Recommendation approved
- 2016 Dec – Final Report provides two options
  - Option 1 Build on top of Public Safety Bldg, then in parking lot $158M
  - Option 2 Build adjacent to Public Safety Bldg, $164M
    - Neither option approved
- 2017-June – New option presented (similar to Option 1 , but cheaper)
  - Option 3 Make option 1 cheaper
  - Delay some construction from option 1 (drop other items?)
